Recently, VZJET launched the Velocity VEX, the flagship inkjet printer of its Velocity series. Relying on core advantages such as high-speed printing, intelligent operation and maintenance, and in-depth integration, it has redefined the standards for industrial inkjet equipment. Equipped with original HP encrypted chips and driver boards, this device integrates 17 technological highlights and can seamlessly connect to the Industry 4.0 system. High-Speed Printing at 300 Meters per Minute, Balancing Efficiency and Precision

It supports high-speed multi-head printing, with a maximum speed of up to 300 meters per minute. Moreover, it can automatically adjust the DPI (dots per inch) according to the needs of the production line. While giving priority to ensuring speed, it always maintains a high-definition printing effect of 600x600 dpi, meeting the marking requirements of high-speed production lines in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemicals.
What is even more noteworthy is that this device innovatively adopts a "non-stop ink cartridge replacement" design and supports the hot-swapping function of ink cartridges. Operators can replace ink cartridges in real time during the printing process. This not only avoids the production line interruption caused by stopping the machine for ink replacement in traditional equipment but also reduces the risk of equipment damage caused by workers' misoperations through the hot-swapping technology, providing "ultimate insurance" for the stable operation of the production line. Data shows that this function can reduce the downtime of the production line by more than 30%, significantly improving production efficiency.

The Velocity VEX excels in the convenience of operation and maintenance as well as cost control. The device has a built-in system self-inspection function, which can monitor the operating status of the inkjet printer in real time, quickly locate fault points, help maintenance personnel solve problems in the shortest time, and greatly reduce the equipment failure rate. At the same time, it is equipped with the dual functions of "flash jet" and "strong jet", which can effectively prevent and solve the problem of nozzle clogging. During long-interval printing, the flash jet function can keep the nozzles moist and prevent ink from drying and solidifying; when missing lines are found in printing, the strong jet function can quickly unclog the nozzles without manual disassembly. This not only ensures the service life of the ink cartridges but also reduces maintenance costs.
In terms of cost management, the Velocity VEX realizes "printing cost visualization". The device can automatically calculate the proportion of ink dots in the current file and accurately estimate the remaining number of prints based on the remaining ink in the cartridge, allowing enterprises to clearly grasp the marking cost of each batch of products. In addition, users can also customize the inkjet density (with an adjustment accuracy of 0-100%). On the premise of ensuring the clarity of printing, this reduces ink consumption, and the number of prints per cartridge can be increased by more than 15%, further lowering the cost of consumables.

Its printhead and controller support a long-distance connection of more than 30 meters, and there is no delay in printing. This can meet the cross-regional installation needs of large factories and ensure stable operation even in harsh environments such as high temperature and high humidity.
In terms of multi-device collaboration, this device is equipped with a complete network port and serial port communication solution, supporting the establishment of a local area network (LAN) printing network through the "one-control multi-device" software. Staff can uniformly control multiple inkjet printers on the computer side and also set up multiple monitoring roles to grasp the equipment operation data in real time, realizing remote matrix printing. For example, in a factory with more than 80 production lines, only one set of control systems is needed to manage all inkjet equipment, greatly reducing labor and management costs.

The Velocity VEX is highly in line with the needs of smart manufacturing and has strong system integration capabilities. The device supports standardized communication protocols such as TCP/IP and RS232, and can seamlessly connect to enterprise ERP and MES systems. It can upload data such as production batches, inkjet content, and equipment status in real time, helping enterprises realize the full-process traceability of production and optimization of decision-making. At the same time, it supports remote monitoring and predictive maintenance functions. Managers can remotely view the equipment operation parameters through mobile phones or computers, predict maintenance needs in advance, and avoid sudden failures.
In terms of operating experience, the Velocity VEX balances convenience and flexibility. The device is equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen and supports the integration of third-party HMI display and control. After connecting external monitors, mice, and keyboards through the HDMI interface, the 7-inch screen can be instantly transformed into a 19-inch large screen, which is compatible with traditional computer operating habits and reduces employee training costs. In addition, the device also has a built-in image processing function, which can import color images to generate grayscale images for printing, meeting the personalized marking needs of enterprises.
Nestlé's South African Supplier Takes the Lead in Implementation, Verifying the Practical Value of the Equipment
At present, the Velocity VEX has completed practical application in the packaging production line of Nestlé coffee in South Africa. It is understood that this South African enterprise is one of Nestlé's core local suppliers, with more than 80 production lines. Previously, it used inkjet equipment from international brands such as Domino, Videojet, Reajet, and Hitachi, which had problems such as poor equipment compatibility, high operation and maintenance costs, and difficult management.
After introducing the Velocity VEX, the enterprise integrated the inkjet equipment of multiple production lines through the "one-control multi-jet" solution, realizing efficient marking and printing on the composite film of coffee packaging. The equipment not only adapts to the high-speed production rhythm of multi-column packaging machines but also can upload the inkjet data of each batch of products in real time through the connection with the ERP system, meeting the traceability requirements of Nestlé's global supply chain. The person in charge of the enterprise said that the application of the Velocity VEX has reduced the marking cost of the production line by 25% and improved the equipment operation and maintenance efficiency by 40%, calling it "a key equipment to promote the intelligent transformation of the production line".
